Description
The Botany Collection
mostly dates to the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries when collecting activities were more focused on natural history specimens. The largest accession in the collection is the significant Emma Cole Herbarium, which has been on long-term loan to the University of Michigan for several decades. With the U of M managing the bulk of the Cole collection, the Museum only has a small sample of the Cole collection and a few other assorted herbaria in storage.
