Cased Photographs

History Collection
Description
The Cased Photographs Collection consists of daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and tintypes.  These images demonstrate three very early photographic processes and are some of the earliest photographs belonging to the Museum.  They date from aprroximately 1850-1900, and come from a wide variety of donors. While some appear to be of important local individuals, many have no identification or provenance whatsoever.
