Description:
Upper and lower shells of the bivalve mollusk tridacna maxima, or small giant clam.  These clams are native to shallow reef beds in the Indian and South Pacific oceans.

These shells are white and light orange on the outside and white on the inside, with fluting on the outer surfaces that may be too fragile for frequent handling.  Total length of the shells are about 145mm.
