Description:
Black Ash basket. Market Style. Rectangular with carved black ash handle. Dyed (brown) black ash splints are used for both weft and warp. 3 rows of un-dyed splints are used as decoration.

This basket was commissioned by the PMGR for inclusion in the exhibition, 'Anishinabek: The People of this Place'. Mrs. Rapp is one of the featured artists in the exhibition. The PMGR has a growing collection of Woodland basketry; however, no other examples of this artist's work.
