This radio table, the Kiel Golden Voice Table, was manufactured by Kiel Furniture Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin around 1929. The hexagonal table hides a seven-tube Atwater-Kent model 55c chassis and a 10-inch speaker. Tables such as this one were widely popular due to their dual purpose as a piece of furniture and a radio.
The hinged top opens to reveal the radio console and the front of the frieze opens to show the radio dials. It stands on six turned and fluted legs which are joined by a modified H-stretcher.
