These reproduction hair ties are made of turkey feathers tied to 1.5-inch 'medicine wheel' circles of red, blue, and white. The circles are made of porcupine quills and have been attached using deerskin.
Hair ties similar to these may have been used as decorations and are possibly still used in ceremonies today.
