Description:
Mottled green-brown plastic handle, holds thin needle-like pointer, used for sorting computer punch cards. This tool is considered a piece of realia, associated with Archival Collection #117, 'Study of Water Fluoridation and Dental Health'.;This tool was used during Grand Rapids' participation in the milestone national study which proved the benefits to dental health of adding fluoride to a community's drinking water supply.;in yellow on handle, 'ROYAL McBEE CORP. ATHENS OHIO.';This tool was used for sorting data taken during the Grand Rapids study of the fluoridation of drinking water for dental health.;The documents and artifacts in this collection were amassed by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research for the exhibition 'The Fluoride Story'. This tool was originally used to punch cards to sort data from the Grand Rapids Drinking Water Fluoridation Study.
