Set Of Seven Human Teeth
Set of seven human teeth, used to show the stages of deterioration in a condition known as 'mottled teeth'. Each has its own identical clear cylindrical acrylic mount. These specimens are considered pieces of realia, associated with Archival Collection #117, 'Study of Water Fluoridation and Dental Health'.;This set of teeth is useful along with other items in this accession in telling the story of the Grand Rapids study to determine the effects on dental health of adding fluoride to a community's drinking water supply.;This set of teeth was collected by the National Institue of Dental and Craniofacial Research for use in the exhibition, 'The Fluoride Story'.;The documents and artifacts in this collection were amassed by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research for the exhibition 'The Fluoride Story'.
