Description:
This shirt is a reproduction of a baseball shirt from the Homestead Grays which was a negro baseball team that operated from 1912 to 1950. The team was based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but often played home games in Washington D.C.

This shirt is white with blue trim. The word "Grays" runs across the front of the shirt in blue applique. There is also a patch on the proper left sleeve that reads "Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Black Diamond Authentic Series".  The number 20 is applied to the back of the shirt which was the number of Josh Gibson.

Homestead Grays
The Homestead Grays were a professional Negro baseball team that was formed in 1912 by Cumberland Posey. They originally played in Homestead, Pennsylvania but eventually began playing all home games in Pittsburgh. By 1940 they were playing most of their home games in Washington D.C. The team played until the 1950s.
