This five-piece wedding dress has a dress with a tunic, an eton jacket, an overblouse, a cummerbund, and an underskirt. There is a silk embossed pattern throughout the dress. Hemlines were beginning to rise during this period as can be seen with the hem sitting just above the ankle. This wedding dress was worn by Cora Bosma when she married William Borgman at Oakdale Park Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids on June 15th, 1915.
Cora Bosma Cora Bosma was born in 1889 in Grand Rapids. She was the daughter of Johannes Roels Bosma and Hinke Kamp. In 1915 she married William Borgman and they had two children. Their daughter Grace passed away in 1949 after drowning in Mona Lake. Cora Bosma passed away in 1974.
