This collection consists of eight books from the library of Charles Walbridge Calkins, a receipt from the United States Internal Revenue, and a certificate to practice as an attorney for Charles Calkins that is signed by Norton Ramsdell, Clerk of Washtenaw County. Calkins was an Attorney at Law, a St. Mark's Episcopal Church Warden, a commissioned officer of the Michigan State Troops, a member of the Grand Rapids Greys, and a member of the Grand Rapids Board of Health.
