Archival Collections ➔ Archival Collection #188 - Gains Township

This collection consists of three Gaines Township Clerk record books. The books were donated early in the museum's history by an unknown source. Gaines Township of Kent County was organized under its own name in 1846. Gaines is located in the southern tier of Kent County bordered by Byron, Leighton, Allegan County, Caledonia, and Paris. Gaines was first organized as part of Paris in 1839.
