Fremont D. Pace was born April 1, 1905, in Jackson Michigan. He attended Michigan State College (now University) and was an active member of the Wolverine Eclectic Fraternity. Pace also served as his Senior Class president in 1927.
He married Josephine Gehrig in October of 1932, subsequently moving to Grand Rapids Michigan, and ultimately settling at 1047 Iroquois Drive Southeast.
Fremont and Josephine owned F.D. Pace Company, an electroplating supplies and equipment company at 69-73 Scribner Northwest. Fremont was also a member of the Grand Rapids Branch American Electroplaters and Finishers Society, GRNASF. Both Fremont and Josephine were active members of the Manistee National Forest Shrine club.
During World War II, Fremont served as Lieutenant and subsequently Lieutenant Commander in the United States Naval Reserves, and served active duty in the Pacific Theater November of 1943, on the USS Sicard.
Fremont D. Pace passed away late November of 1964 at his home at 1047 Iroquois Drive Southeast, Grand Rapids Michigan.
