Description:
Pyrite, commonly known as fool's gold, is a sulfide mineral containing iron. When exposed to oxygen, the color darkens, turning from a brass yellow to shades of brown. Dolomite is a carbonate similar to calcite but with contains magnesium. This specimen was found in Viburnum, Missouri.
