Identifier:
124559
Description:
These off-white pantalettes are made of cotton and have a closure at the back of the waist. They also have pintucks at the leg openings and the crotch is open. Earlier versions of women's drawers had an open crotch for hygiene purposes. It was possible that once a corset was put on, drawers were unable to be pulled down so the crotch was left unsewn.
