Description:
Maul
Its comprised of quartzite, a dense metamorphosed sandstone.
It's associated with the Early to Middle Woodland.
The groove has peck marks which suggests it was peck manufactured.
The groove's location in the center, as well as the wear on either end, suggests double use.
It was found on the shore of Horseshoe Lake in Montclam County.
