➔ Sayh al Uhaymir 001 Meteorite
This is an ordinary chondrite meteorite, which is the most common type of stony meteorite.
It was found on March 16, 2000 in the Jiddat al Harasis desert in central Oman. The original mass of the meteorite is estimated to be 408 kilograms.
This specimen is 109.1 grams and has a class of L4/5, shock stage of S2, and a weathering grade of W1.
