Description:
The fifteen full blocks in this quilt are each made of 300 pieces from a wide variety of tan, green, rust and blue print fabrics. Each 13 ½ “ square block has a center star pattern surrounded by four smaller whole stars and four half stars. The blocks are set diagonally (on point) and have pieced stars at each of the four corners. A 4” wide side rust and brown pieced lattice pattern sash separates the blocks.

The top was pieced in the late 19th century. The heavy canvas backing and simple quilting were added as late as 1950.
