Porcelain bowl with gold rings around the mouth and base. On the side is a band of orange flowers with gold leaves. In the center of these flowers is Dutch writing, translated 'For your Birthday' in gold.;Given as birthday present and a good object to use in the discussion of birthday traditions. This piece was probably intended for a child. Identified and dated by Joel Lefever, Curator, Holland Historical Trust, Holland, MI; tel: 616.394.1362;Translated: For Your Birthday.;The cup was purchased using the PMGR's Dutch fund, along with several other objects, by Ardath Allen from Albert Murdo Dozema.
