Description:
This off-white riding habit consists of three pieces: a vest, a shirt, and trousers. It is made of linen. The vest is sleeveless and has two pearl buttons on the front. There is a pocket on each side of the front and each pocket has a single vegetable ivory button. The vest also has a single vent on the back which would have made it easier for riding horses. The trousers have vegetable ivory buttons at the ankles. This riding habit has an interior label that reads "The MBM Shirt Co. Markers, Grand Rapids, Mich.".

Anne M. Kleiner served in WAVES during World War II. In 1943 she was an Ensign and by 1945 she was promoted to Lieutenant Junior. At the end of her service, she had been promoted to a Lieutenant. She was enrolled in the University of Michigan in 1940.
