Description:
Carving and painting(red, blue, and black) are typical of the Makah & Nuuchahnulth(formerly known as Nootka or Westcoast) style of design. The long sloping underbrow plane, narrow eyebrows and smooth facial planes characterize the style. Painting is simple geometric dots, cross & stripes. Used in winter ceremonial dances.
