The ends of the pages are gilded red. Many of the stories carry racial overtones.;ACCEPT These books are Voigt related and, therefore, appropriate additions to the Voigt Collection. House programing has often stressed childhood and childrens issues in spite of the fact there is a small collection of childrens material currently associated with the Voigt Collection. The donor has offered to re-bind or stabilize any of the books we wish to have treated. There are very few children's books currently part of the Voigt Collection. In general, the Museum is always seeking ways to strengthen the children's collections of the institution. These books, with specific inscriptions relating to the Voigt Family would be useful resources for children's programming.KWAPIL01;USA: Michigan, Grand Rapids. Amanda Voigt married Charles Perkins.
