Description:
Hard, cardboard, 6 page children's book with attached abacus. Bound with plastic spiral spine. Cover shows drawing of 2 children surrounded by cut-out on sinister side of book. Opening has a black plastic abacus with red and green counting beads attached to inside of back cover. Text contains an illustration and text that teaches counting and use of abacus.;This object is typical of the proliferation of toys that were being produced in the late 1950's and early 1960's to cater to the many children being born during the post WWII baby boom.;Used by donor as a young child growing up in suburban Detroit in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
