Description:
Seven arrows. Hafted and notch end reinforced with sinew. No fletching. Points with lanceloate blades, prominent barbs, and twisted bases.;Traditionally used for hunting by Maasai people of southern Sudan and Kenya. The iron points were barbed, so as to stick in the prey.;Collected by Heywood Walker Weldon, the donor's father, in 1962-1963 while teaching at the Khartoum Technical Institute, Sudan, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
