1. Case, Rectangular oak case with 50 shallow drawers beneath a slanted top surface. Drawers are arranged in 2 rows of 25 each. They contain numerous pieces of type. Slanted top surface has lip for setting type. Printing accessories include, 2. thru 5. 4 trays of lead sluge. 6. Wood mallet. 7. thru 8. Wood blocks. 9. Slug cutter. 10. thru 11. 2 Galleys, Chase lock and assorted miscellaneous pieces of type. 12. Quoin key. 13. 3-Ring binder. 14. thru 17. Wooden rulers. 18.& 19. Composing sticks.;Brought in specifically to use in 1890's print shop. Contains complete size range of 4 type styles. This will allow the demonstration printers to expand the type of items printed in demonstrations. The case is also in much better condition than the old cases and the top surface allows for lay-out.;Case was used in Bissell Company's printing shop.;Case was used in Bissell Company's printing shop until mid 1940. Donor's father acquired it from Bissell when they changed to a different method of printing. Donor recieved case from father when he took over the printing business.
