Self-Adhesive registered mail postage stamp with perforated edges, minted from .999 silver. Depicts a portion of a Dutch guilder. Denominated in 12.75 guilden, this is the last Dutch stamp issued in guillders, before the country converted to the use of Euros. Mounted on a red and silver souvenir card.;This is the last stamp issued by the Netherlands in their national curenncy, before adopting the common currency of the European Union. It demonstrates change in political and economic policy in Europe. It also demonstrates how stamps can be good indicators of political change. It may be used in the permanent Collecting A-Z: S is for Stamps exhibition.;Purchased by donor in Amsterdam
