Description:
Full color tabloid style 20 page newspaper written in Spanish. The cover features local and national stories and accompanying photographs. There are news articles inside all written in spanish. There are advertisments for local stores, churches, professional services, and businesses. The classifieds feature real estate and help wanted ads.;Historcially as new immigrants have movd into the area, they have published newpapers in their nativce language as a means of communication with members of their community. The permanent collection already contains examples of Dutch, German and Polish language newspapers published in Grand Rapids during the late 19th and early 20th century. This paper, written and published in Spanish and geared toward Grand Rapids' Hispanic community of today, is a continuation of this practice.
