Photograph of a 1932 DeVaux. Across the front of the car roof is printed "Built by Continental" "Powered by Continental".
DeVaux was being assembled in California and Grand Rapids prior to 1932. In 1932 models were made Grand Rapids only. By February De Vaux-Hall was out of cash. Continental, the company's biggest creditor, stepped in and bought most of the assets of De Vaux, renamed it the Continental-De Vaux Company, starting up production again. The only real change being the name on the VIN tag; otherwise, the cars remained exactly as before.
