Description:
Silver is a native element that occurs deep inside the Earth and is later pushed to the surface by heat and pressure. It is often found with minerals such as copper and chalcocite. This specimen also includes calcite, a calcium carbonate mineral, and copper, a native element that often occurs in fine-grained volcanic rocks such as basalt.
