This postcard shows a variation of the American Gothic painting featuring 45th Governor of Alabama George Wallace standing next to an African American woman. It was created by Alfred Gescheidt and the American Postcard Co. Inc. 

Governor Wallace was known for supporting segregation, openly advocating for a permanent divide between races.
