This is a United States Army .50 caliber ammo box from World War II (1939-1945). It was created by Artcraft and has the flaming bomb insignia on one side. The back reads "105 CAL 50 | LINKED APM2 | REPACKED LOT | SL.L 91785" in yellow. It was owned by Robert Hall of the United States Navy.

In September of 1942, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served as a Pharmacist's Mate, 2nd class in the hospital corps in 1943, and by 1945, he was in the 5th amphibious corps treating injured Marines.
