The photograph depicts the Phillips University Band of Enid, Oklahoma, who played for the International Lions Convention that met in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Phillips University was a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) known for its music teaching. This photo was taken at the entrance of the Civic Auditorium. In addition to Phillips, other musical entertainment included the Indiana All-State Band, and quartets from Racine, Wisconsin and Parkersburg, West Virginia. Two copies.
