Margaret T. DuMond was born July 24, 1903. She married Frank L. DuMond who, in 1923, became the Museum Director of the Grand Rapids Public Museum (then known as the Kent Scientific Institute). She passed away February 1, 1980 and is buried in Covey Hill Cemetery. 

Her maiden name is currently unknown.
