Asian ➔ Bag, Men's

Identifier:
129575
Description:
This bag, known as a "Shan" bag, is made using a traditional method of cotton weaving in Myanmar, formally known as Burma. It's most popular in the Shan state, which lies in the eastern part of Myanmar and are made by many of those who live there. They weave not only cotton, but also silk and wool, which requires much concentration and perfect eye and hand co-ordination when making these bags on a loom. Though the Shan Bag is a traditional design, many other regions throughout Myanmar produce different designs as well. They also use this method of cotton, wool, and silk weaving to make their traditional clothing known as Lungyi, which can use many beautiful colors and designs to better suit the one buying.
