Description:

This rifle was made by J.P. Moore of Union New York. This rifle is finely finished featuring sharp checkering on the wrist of the stock, a built in cheek rest on the left side of the buttstock. A brass eagle is inletted into the cheek rest. The patch box is ornate and highly engraved featuring a pattern of c and s scrolls. This rifle features a set trigger which gives the user a very light trigger pull, resulting in a higher degree of accuracy. The barrel is heavy and is of a half octagon half round design. It is also made of Damascus steel. The lock is marked "J.P. MOORE".
