Description:
Bag woven from natural fiber using knotted, diamond pattern construction. A single handle is attached across the mouth, and round-wrapped over its length. Reference in Art of the First Australians, pg. 36, #188.;Woven string bags are commonly known as dilly bags. They are made and used by Aboriginal Australians to carry personal possessions, except for weapons and large implements. The shape and size of such bags vary according to the needs of the user. Some bags are loose mesh, while others are so tightly woven that they can be used to store honey.
