Description:
Shield-shaped medal with small ring attached to top center. One face of the medal depicts a relief two women shaking hands--one with an American stars and stripes shield, and the other with a German imperial eagle motif shield, over a background of stars and stripes. Underneath the women are the words "Einigkeit macht stark." The opposite face has the words "Grand Rapids Deutscher-Tag, October 6, 1890" surrounded by small floral motifs.
