Description:
This small cloth package is an example of an early first aid kit that was issued to soldiers during the era of the Spanish-American war. Labelled "First Help for Wounds", the cover of the package has printed on it the contents of the package (2 antiseptic compresses; 1 antiseptic bandage with safety pin; 1 triangular bandage with safety pin) and directions for use of the contents. The cover also details it's makers: "ELLWOOD LEE CO., CONSHOHOCKEN, PA." and "BLEES MOORE INST. CO., ST.LOUIS, MO"
