This round lidded box features porcupine quillwork of natural, orange, brown, and maroon dyed quills with raised designs on the lid. It has a band of sweetgrass or split spruce root whipstitched around the hem of the lid. It may have been made on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada.
