Description:
This nylon wedding dress has long sleeves that gather into a gauntlet cuff. The cuffs, collar, and waistband have lace trim with ribbon woven through. There is also vertical lace trim down the front and back of the dress from the shoulders to the skirt hem. Features that indicate this dress is from this time period are the standing collar, the empire style bodice with a long straight skirt, and the lace trim.

This wedding dress was worn by the donor, Anna Fraser, when she married Gary Fraser on September 30th, 1969. It was purchased for $80.00 at S. Klein Department Store. It was accompanied by a veil (number 1991.56.1.2). Gary Fraser worked at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in the exhibits department from the 1970s through the early 2000s.
