This purple dressing gown or robe from c. 1890 is made of velvet and has button-and-loop closures down the center front. The sleeves are long with white lace trim at the cuffs. The sides are gathered at the waist and there is an attached sash that surrounds the sides and the back of the robe. The interior is lined with pink shot taffeta.
