Jackie Blankenship is a morning news reporter out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the host of "On The Scene with Jackie Green" Monday through Friday mornings on FOX17. Jackie started her career in broadcasting in 2009 as an intern on the syndicated morning radio show, "Free Beer and Hot Wings in the Morning" where she was known as Jackie Man-Voice or "JMV." From there Jackie had the radio bug and went on to fill the Sunday slot on WGRD-FM.
After only 6 months of working as a weekend host, Jackie's hard work, likable personality, and audience appeal landed her a full-time job at the station, first as the night host and then on to middays. After 5 years with the rock radio station, Jackie transitioned to the world of television as a reporter on FOX17.
Jackie is also a model, actress, singer, and dancer. She was named NM3 Magazines Model of the Year in 2010, was featured at Grand Rapids events such as Grand Rapids Art Prize: Style Battle 2011, and walked in the Couture For a Cure Fashion Show in 2013 and 2014. Pageants have also been a creative outlet for Jackie. She was crowned the 2012 Miss Michigan Galaxy, the 2014 National Miss Captivating, and in 2015 was runner-up at the prestigious Mrs. Michigan America Pageant. Jackie has also been in numerous roles in community theatre shows such as Circle Theatre's rendition of "Cabaret" and Actors Theatre's, "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."
Jackie was a cross-country and track athlete at Ferris State University where she obtained her bachelor's degree. She is involved in the community as the head track and field coach for Northview High School and has also earned over $3,000 for the AT-Children's Project by running in the 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon.
Jackie is an advocate for infertility support and awareness and intersex youth. Born with an intersex condition called complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS), she is unable to carry children and originally chose infertility as her pageantry platform. In the Mrs. America pageant 2021, she redirected her platform to advocate for intersex youth, answering her onstage question of "If there was one thing you could change, what would it be?" with the desire to end unnecessary surgeries on intersex children. She went on to be crowned Mrs. America in November 2021, becoming the first woman from Michigan and the first openly intersex person to have won the title.
