This combination cap, sometimes referred to as a combination cover, is from the United States Navy Reserve of the United States Navy. It was worn by Lieutenant Commander John H. Uhl during World War II (1939-1945). This cap is made of green cotton twill and has a gold chinstrap attached by gold buttons which indicates the owner was a commissioned officer. It also displays an officer's crest on the center front.
