Description:
This tulle bonnet features satin ribbon framing the face as well as ribbon ties and a ribbon bow at the back. This sheer bonnet would have been worn in the home in the late 18th century. During this time period, women always wore hats, both indoors and outdoors. Most indoors hats or caps were made of muslin or lace and were often cream or white in color. This bonnet is an excellent representation of the type of bonnet worn by women in the home during this time period.
