Description:
This bonnet is made of lightweight cotton and is ruffled around the edges. The ruffled edge is trimmed with lace. There are ribbons on both the left and right side of the bonnet that tie underneath the chin that secure the bonnet. The word "Musas" is stamped on the interior right side near the ribbon tie. 

This bonnet was worn by Almeria Church Robinson when she came to Grand Rapids as a bride in 1853.

Almeria Church was born on September 25th, 1824 in New York. She later lived in Marshall, Michigan. In 1853 she married Captain James David (J.D.) Robinson of Grand Rapids, Michigan. They had three children: Elizabeth, Jennie, and Myra. Almeria passed away on October 1st, 1897.
