Description:
This straw wicker cloche has embroidered lace around the crown as well as grosgrain ribbon designs. ​The cloche was one of the most popular hats during this time period and was often worn with short hairstyles such as the bob. This style of hat was often made of felt so it could easily form to the shape of the head. They were worn low on the forehead and sometimes featured embellishments such as lace applique, embroidery, and jeweled broaches.
