Description:
This blue hat is made of woven nylon and has a small brim that is turned up in the front. There is a cotton band around the crown that extends onto the front of the brim. There is also a purple artificial flower on the brim. This hat is decorated with blue net and has a petersham sweatband. An interior retailer label reads "Herpolsheimer Co., Grand Rapids, Michigan" and the sizing label reads "22". This hat also has two metal prongs on either side that help hold the hat into place.

The partnership between Voigt and Herpolsheimer ended in 1902 with Voigt taking over the flour mills and Herpolsheimer the store. Herpolsheimer's Firm continued to operate department stores until it was sold in 1987 making it one of the longest-running retail establishments in West Michigan.
