This off-white duster is made of linen and is missing buttons down the center front. It has a flat collar with notched lapels and there is a patch pocket on either side of the waist. This duster also has a center vent.

Dusters were outerwear worn by both men and women in the nineteenth and twentieth century to help protect their clothing from dirt and dust. They were worn while riding or driving carriages and later automobiles. Most often they are made of linen or canvas and sometimes have a slit up the back to make horseriding easier.
