This formal mess jacket is from the United States Army of the United States Armed Forces and belonged to an infantry officer who served during World War II. 

This mess jacket is made of navy blue cotton and has decorative gold braid on the cuffs. There are six buttons on the front and the lapels are light blue, indicating the owner was an infantry officer. It also had a box of condoms (number 122491.1) in the pocket.
