Description:
This two piece dress of silk brocade consists of a bodice and skirt. The boned bodice has a salmon colored insert at the center front that is overlayed with net weave. It also has a band collar and close fitting sleeves. The skirt is gathered at the center back and the hem is tiered. Features that indicate this dress is from the later 1800s are the S-bend silhouette, the narrow waist, and the boned bodice.
